Project Planning and Calendar
Step one: install the Facebook Pixel on your website.
This is a lynch pin in the process of getting you giveaway in front of the right people. As you follow the general marketing cycle and then begin promoting your giveaway, you will be collecting data from the people who are most interested in seeing your art. When it comes time to begin launching ads, you will have a wonderfully defined target audience and enjoy the most ROI for your ad spend.
Pick a Date! Then work backwards.
When you start to add up all the things you need to do in order to launch this thing in can start to be overwhelming.
NOT EVERYTHING needs to be done before you start the the process. I explain this in the video above but I felt as though it needed to be written in black and white as well.
Bellow is a general marketing cycle. You might remember it from the 2019 Marketing Plan I shared with everyone at the beginning of the year. The cycle’s purpose it to create awareness of you and your product before executing on a sale or promotion of some kind. Let me sum it up for you:
Post consistently
On occasion, refer people to the places where you can capture their information. Such places include:
Your website
Your Mailing List
Your messenger bot
Your pigeon coup (just kidding, unless you really have messenger birds)
Send an email about what you are up to as an artist once per month
As your event approaches, send an email once per week.
Launch your project.
It’s really that simple.
IN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH THE GIVEAWAY, WHEN DO YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE STEPS IN THE MODULE?
Again, not everything has to be complete before you begin. The part that you will mostly likely get hung-up on, the part that seems the most daunting, is creating Facebook Ads. However, most of your ads will be accomplished on the fly. You’ll share a piece of content or create a video with your iPhone (this is what I did) and you’ll share it. You’ll boost it, like we talk about in ads modules, then you’ll wait to see what is effective and what isn’t. Then you’ll do more of what works. If that sounds really simple, good. It really is that simple.
Below is a project calendar for the giveaway itself. Please refer to the video for an explanation of the calendar.
